Why are people so crazy about Orkut? I hardly find it alluring. People login just to enter crap scraps, say hi to random guys, forcefully add them as friends and read through their messages. That's hardly appealing to me.

If social networking is the big idea here, why not try MySpace and Yahoo! 360?

mind sharing the details abt 360, etc, etc so that lesser mortals like me can make an intelligent decision?

360 is Yahoo's foray into social networking, heavily skewed towards blogging. It's basically a service that allows like-minded individuals to reach out to each other and exchange messages, photos, links, etc. All this revolves around the blogging service.

Because of its tight structure, it's easy to win a handful of loyal readers for your blog. The number of comments you get is also ralatively high.

Abey desolate, secluded recluse tere ko orkut ka koi zaroorat hi nahi hai, then why bother about whether it's alluring or not.

I loathe small talk. It's meant for the lesser folks!

This is what Bertrand Russell said about religion...

Religion is based, I think, primarily and mainly upon fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown and partly, as I have said, the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes. ... A good world needs knowledge, kindliness, and courage; it does not need a regretful hankering after the past or a fettering of the free intelligence by the words uttered long ago by ignorant men.
